Open your calendars, grab a red pen and mark this: The Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg will take place from the 6-11 June 2023. For the 39th time, we will gather film makers and cinema lovers in Hamburg to celebrate the short form.

◍ This year’s motto couldn’t be more contemporary: It’s “NOW”! We are shining a light on pressing present-day topics: a multi-perspective view on Germany and its history, the tension field of human and nature and nothing less than the topic of work. We will dive into sensual feminist short films from the 80s and engage in interesting live discussions. To sum it up: There is a lot to explore at this year’s edition!
